Alexander was a bit hesitant when it comes to being around with Philip Schuyler, his father in law. Every time he was around the man, he would mess up with his clumsiness. Last time they were together, he accidentally dropped a slice of cake onto the older man’s shoe. This trip with him is either gojng to fail or be something out of the ordinary and be successful.

_{philip rather liked his son in law – he made elizabeth beyond ecstatic, && that was enough in his book to mark him as a good man. still, alexander had the habit of floundering when he neared. usually it was nothing of terrible importance, just small missteps that he attributed to nervousness as his daughter assured him that he wasn’t always that way. despite not minding all the lack of grace, he was still a bit wary about giving the young man a gun, but decided to do it nonetheless as a bonding experience. three days he had planned for himself && alexander to be out in the wilderness on their hunting trip. enough supplies loaded up to suffice for such an excursion, he knocked on the door to the hamiltons’ home in the early morning with an eagerness to set out.}
